On 24 October at Koch Room of Palazzo Madama the conference Federalism, autonomies, rights: limits and prospects. The work of the conference, which will begin at 10.00 a.m., will be moderated by Dino Martirano, journalist of “Il Corriere della Sera”. One of the planned interventions is entrusted to the Manager of the unit “Public Finance Analysis” in SOSE, Marco Stradiotto who will outline the recent history of the debate on fiscal federalism 10 years after the approval of Law 42/2009 implementing the constitutional reform of 2001. The objectives of the federal reform included the strengthening of fiscal autonomy and the overcoming of "historical expenditure" for resource allocation through the introduction of "standard expenditure needs".

Also Minister for Regional Affairs Francesco Boccia, the Vice-Minister for Economy, Laura Castelli, and the President of the Technical Commission for standard expenditure needs, Giampaolo Arachi will participate in the conference.
